Dr. Steven Simonte has over 20 years of experience dealing with allergic disorders in both adults and children. His current scope of practice includes the full range of allergic diseases, asthma, and sinus disease. His areas of interest include food allergy, allergic rhinitis, asthma, and atopic dermatitis (eczema).
Dr. Simonte completed an accelerated 7-year premedical-medical program (Inteflex) at the University of Michigan Medical School. He started his career as a Pediatrician and remains a Board Certified Pediatrician. His internship was performed at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and he finished his residency at Columbia University. He completed his fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City where he was fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with some of the world’s best physicians in the fields of food allergy and immunology.
At Mount Sinai, Dr. Simonte performed and published original research regarding the management of patients with food allergy and immunologic disorders. He has served on the Atopic Dermatitis Committee of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. As a long time allergy and asthma sufferer himself, he understands how these conditions have a huge impact on the quality of life for patients who struggle to deal with these disorders. Dr. Simonte is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for both adults and children with allergic diseases.
