If you’re a restaurateur or foodservice employee in New York City, you’ve probably served customers that had a food allergy. Food allergies are increasingly becoming more common in the United States and as such, restaurants should be aware of what measures to take to safely serve patrons with food allergies. New York may soon follow the lead of states like Massachusetts and Rhode Island in passing Food Allergy Bills. Are you prepared for that possibility?
Dining out with a food allergy can be stressful for your customers, but we can help you put them at ease. Hudson Allergy now offers a Food Allergy Safety Course that helps educate all restaurant staff on how to safely prepare and serve food to customers with food allergies.
Our curriculum includes an overview of food allergies, front and back of house preparation, and risk management, and we can accommodate from 4-20 of your staff. Courses can take place at your restaurant, or you can visit the Hudson Allergy office in Tribeca. Click here if you’d like to review the curriculum in more detail.
You can learn more about these classes by visiting our page or by watching NY1’s report on the program below.
